Can't attention be paid to make it easier to replace the joysticks in the controller in the future?
If people not have a warranty they have to spend a lot of money on a new controller.

There is not always a cleaning solution for drifting.

I think a hardware change is needed for this personally. As they move on and develop the new headsets it would be nice to introduce maybe a simple laser sensor system like an optical mouse. Some markers on the non-exposed underside of the thumbstick causing reflections that can be read to determine the angle the thumbstick is on would eliminate any need for the physical pressure based sensors that fail due to dirt accumulation. Or maybe make the thumbsticks be easily removable so we can maintain / clean them properly without voiding warranty, especially if you're going to cease production on older handsets so quickly? (og quest handsets no longer exist.. Yet I can still buy a ps2 joypad) Like.. Remember ball mice? It's like we're doing that nonsense all over again. Seems like there are a ton of solutions to this problem
