I know the Netflix app essentially was a pet project of John Carmack and it was really great on GearVR at the time.
Now it looks like a neglected child and need an upgrade to match the wonderful new hardware of the Quest 2.
Please talk to the concerned parties (Netflix?). And John, if you´re seeing this: Blow some magic coding dust its way. Please?
Wishlist by order of priority:
*Update the streams to HD-material - 480p doesn´t look good. (never really did, but now it looks horrendous)
*Update textures in the enviroment (gives us more enviroments?), Passthrough as background?
*Ability to watch together with a friend or two.
*Ability to download videos to the device.
*Give some love to Void Theatre and let us choose backdrops, color schemes or even passthrough + some more control on curvature of the screen.
*Maybe integrate it as an Oculus-TV-app?

Could you please install an update that allows secondary accounts to cast to tv. Currently, only the main account to cast. Other people should be able to cast as the main account holder may not be available to cast for them. Thanks

Love that we can now watch spatial videos (when that finishes rolling out). Would love same for panoramic photos shot on iPhone, like Apple Vision Pro.

Right now you can only stretch the windows in a fixed resolution ratio. If you grab the corners and try to stretch it horizontally it will automatically stretch it to vertically aswell. Please add an option in the settings where i can individually stretch the windows in every direction, while im in passthrough or in the menu.

Hello Meta Team, I am writing to propose a new feature for the Meta Quest: a widget system with a corresponding developer API. This feature would allow users to customize their VR experience by adding informational or interactive elements to their home environment or within specific applications. On the developer side developers have the ability to access the feature and craft there own widgets with an api interface. the widgets can be immersive, 2d and window only like a simple ui to represent some information or both. The User also should can drag and place his widgets in his own favour in his virtual reality/augmented reality space. In the system controls should be an option to control the access rights of the regarding app/widget and also some additional options like: showing only when (time is ..., notification was send ..., timer is set ..., etc.). There are also some other cool additional features which you can provide additional into the widget feature but i think you can figure them out by your self. For example: A application developer should be able to create a widget which contains an animated 3d cloud which shows the corresponding fitting animation/state regarding the weather information in the application. Beside there should be a little window with more detailed information about the weather like degrees, humidy, wind speed etc. Best regards, Patrick Schnitzer Application Developer

Looks like meta adjusts foreign prices based on exchange rate and not on purchasing power like Steam does. So steam has 2 or 3 times smaller price for same vr games in my region. And of course I wll use steam and not meta store. I have asked game developer and he told me that meta has own policy.

I would love an option to turn off the harmonic background sounds/music in the main menu to just be able to sit in silence without having to mute my entire Quest 3.

It would be great to have a way to write a driver, background application, or similar to allow producers of VR locomotion devices to add support for their devices to any Meta Quest game with smooth locomotion. Examples of these devices include the Kat Walk C, Virtuix Omni, Omni One, Freeaim VR Shoes, Cybershoes, and Cyberith Virtualizer. The Kat Walk C and Cybershoes has support for some Quest games, but in order to do so they have to reach out to individual developers to do one of two options. First, integrate an SDK into the game itself. Second, update the game to support bluetooth gamepads, and then the peripheral device emulates a gamepad. The disadvantage of the latter approach is HMD position and rotation data can't be sent to the peripheral device. Both approaches are not scalable.

It's rediculous that masculine features are not considered, while every avatar body has breasts or a female formed body. Cant both types coexist, or is being male frowned upon at meta?

It would be nice to be able to toggle Passthrough on-demand like you can with the Rift S to be able to quickly see the world around you without having to pull the headset off of your face.

(Passthrough Room) I want VR object in my real life room. I want windows, Plants, Colored walls, Posters, Game awards, Games, Pets, Desk, Bed, All of it. I want to have the room I can't have in real life and have it line up with the objects in my real room. Oh and have all of it saved. (Controllers Q3) When controller tracking is lost just let the hands stay where they were last and let them snap back into place when a connection is found again. Seeing my hands go down if I don't move my controller for 2 sec is annoying as heck. (Link cable connection) No matter the port or the cable I lose connection too often than not. No there is nothing in my USBC port so stop telling me I have water in it o_O No joke my head set things it's wet all the time. This is clearly a bug that needs to be fixed. (Bad Quest support) Reset your headset to factory setting should not be the default solution to everything. Employees who understand the software and hardware of the product should be a no brainer. (Side Quest) Just put it on the store listings. (Thumb stick replacement or better software for drift) Lets not beat around the bush here, You guys use really cheap Thumb sticks for the controllers. I get its to cut costs but if you could make it easier to replace by placing the switches under the cap, That would be awesome. OR use a program that adjusts to compensate for drift. Dead zone is just not cutting it. The N64 controller had it so this is not a new concept. (Understanding consumers) Analytics show alot of people use the Q2 and Q3 for PC VR. Though the idea is to keep people with in the head sets games, This should be something that is better utilized regardless. (A lister Q3 Games) Get more games for Q3 stand alone and get big names involved. Though Indi Devs are always awesome to see, Some of us want Capcom, Konami, Square Enix, Sega, and more.

Several other platforms like Steam, PlayStation, etc. offer family sharing for multiple users in the same household. The same game canât be played at the same time across multiple accounts or devices, but can be shared within a household in the same way that physical media works.

I associate this device with torture as I can’t be rid of this annoying hum in the background. I will not be using this device again if we can’t disable the background noise. I can mute the whole headset but it doesn’t work if i want to watch videos/consume media. PLEASE LET US TURN OFF THE BACKGROUND HUM!!

Got a Quest 3 which is awesome but now the casting is garbage. Why? Why make this extremely necessary feature worse? Casting to my iPhone then to my Apple/Chromecast is pure garbage with lag and audio issues not to mention draining my phone battery. #BRINGBACKTRUECASTING

It seems like a really silly oversight to have not designed the shutdown/power-off menu (when you hold the power button down on the Quest 3 to turn it off) to be in passthrough mode. It's a really minor thing, but being able to see where you store your controllers and approach that spot as you power down would be a nice feature to have.
