@Martinity Thanks 🙂

Yea KS is the Mcdonald's renderer - just choose your happy meal and take a seat 🙂

There is so much that Medium can achieve compared to Zbrush, sure all this can be done in Zbrush but the rough design can take a while - I enjoy using medium to layout an idea and clean it up in Zbrush. Although i'm finding I now have allot to do lol currently have a Xenomorph and the Alien Grunt at the top of the page to finalise haha.

Using that tiny clay tool and building the muscles up as fibres is totally working for you! Might have to try that myslef. Think I need to go back to basics. My body musculature is appalling and no amount of reference seems to be helping me at this point. #creativedoldrums

Lovely sculpt! It's fantastic seeing the level of work improve as everyone learns and pushes.

whilst my anatomy is far from perfect and takes constant study I found I leapt forward a years or so ago. I took a Scott Easton class and finally got to grips with insertion and origin points of all the major muscle groups. I already knew the skeleton well enough but the insertion and origin knowledge helps you breakdown what's going on under your reference.  Having the human anatomy well in the way I took Terryll Whitchlatch creature course on the schoolism site. That was just amazing! After that all the reference books started to make sense.

@Martinity @FrozenPea @InkyTheOctopus @southerngfx @P3nT4gR4m Thank you all for your kind words and support - I really appreciate it !

Inline with the anatomy subject, I kind of have been putting it off and trying to naturally sculpt / design from visual reference or what i think it looks like. Now its time to really own the anatomy and let it talk through my work. I have started watching the Scott Eaton's series and the Anatomy for Sculptors looks amazing.

@InkyTheOctopus Yes finalising the Alien works haha omg - medium is so cool and really good at creating new work lol so yes I too look forward to the finals of those as well - I can put up some WIPS of where im at and some of the process if you like.

Cheers all !!

This is a clean up of a medium sculpt - all I have really done is balance the forms and posed - i did try to export the Zbrush version back into Medium but as a stamp it loses heaps of detail.

Damn, man, difference is night and day. Speak to me of this "balance the forms"? Never come across that phrase before but google is about to get a serious pounding!
