The plastic side of my elite strap with battery cracked, so I sent it in for RMA on 4/1/21
I am here to see if RMA replacement of the Elite Strap with Battery normally takes this long. After my multiple attempts to get an answer from support, they are incredibly vague and will not provide me updates about my replacement or ETA.
I have since seen the Elite Strap with Battery for sale on the oculus website, and my friend was able to order a new one and receive it all since my RMA was received on 4/20/21. I know RMA replacement kits and retail kits are not the same, but at this point, they need to just send a new retail kit to replace the one I mailed in.
4/1/21 RMA Started
4/17/21 Shipped RMA
4/20/21 RMA received by oculus. Got an email saying processing would take 2-3 days
5/5/21 Email & Chat Oculus support, I was told "its out of stock & No ETA was available.
5/11/21 - Talked via chat, chat agent says I cant be connected with a manager. Said to wait 3-5 days for my RMA to be investigated. No reason for delay or eta given.
Best advice I can give you is to just ask for a refund. I've found that a very inexpensive option that works great for me with my Q2 is a Esimen rear padded headstrap with the stock Q2 headstrap. Attaching a 10-20000mahr external battery pack with a couple of velcro straps and using with a short 1.5ft cable all work perfect for me!
Much easier to put on and take off, and much more comfortable imho.
