I cannot get a USB 3.0 connection to register on my Oculus Quest Link to a PC

After buying a USB A to USB C adapter to play PC VR games on my quest, it worked fine, it said I had a 3,0 connection and everything worked. However, after about 2 weeks of moderate usage, it would disconnect me from my PC after about 10 minutes of playing, making it almost unusable. After about another week, it said I only had a USB 2.0 connection, even though I was plugged into a 3.0 USB port. This was very frustrating for me, but I thought I found a solution, buying a decently cheap PCI to USB 3.0 card for my computer. after installing the drivers, those too only got me a USB 2.0 connection. I have not tried anything since, but I don't know what to try. if anyone else has had this problem or has a solution, I would love to know.

This hasn’t occurred to me but the charging cable shipped with the quest itself should be a USB to USB-C optimized for the quest. Try using that one because its the best option you have, if it doesn’t work im afraid you’ll need a different computer
