Hey there! Thank you for reaching out. As long as the installation was done correctly, you should be able to connect to the Oculus server! We can definitely see the issue here and we know it can be a pain, so let's get to it. There are a few things you can try below.

Test connection:

  1. Open the Oculus app on your PC.
  2. Turn on your Quest 2 or Quest.
  3. Plug your USB 3 cable into a USB 3.0 port on your PC, and then plug the other end into your headset.
  4. A message displays in VR prompting you to Allow access to data. Select Deny. If you mistakenly 'Allow' the prompt, you must unplug your USB cable from the Quest and plug it back in.
  5. When prompted to Enable Oculus Link, select Enable to begin remote rendering using Oculus Link.

Steps to repair the app:

  1. Go to www.oculus.com/setup and click Download Oculus Rift software.
  2. Select Repair.
    • If Windows asks you if you’re sure you want to open this file, click Yes.
    • If Windows Defender prompts Windows protected your PC, click More info and then click Run anyway.
    • If your antivirus software restricts the file from opening, temporarily disable your AV and continue.
    • Please remember to re-enable your antivirus software once you've completed the repair.
  3. Allow the repair process to run, download and install.
  4. Launch the Oculus app.

Install Oculus latest drivers:

  1. Close the Oculus app.
  2. Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run command.
  3. Enter C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-drivers.
  4. Open oculus-driver.
  5. Open the Oculus app and then try to connect your headset again.

If you're still having issues after completing these steps, we have a few more things to recommend. Just let us know if any of the steps fix the issue. We hope to hear from you soon!

This didn't work for me. What are the other things you recommend?

Hi @sabo_bkg! Thanks for trying all of these steps for us. Here's what we'd like you to do next:

  • Gather logs, following THESE steps.
  • Reach out to our support team HERE and send them the resulting ZIP file.

Then we'll look into this deeper and see how we can get the Oculus app running on your PC. Thanks!
