I just bought an Oculus Quest 2 and a link cable. The link cable is USB-C from the Oculus to a USB. I plugged the USB into my tv UBS port and the tv recognizes that I plugged in the Oculus Quest 2, but it won't show what the headset is showing. The tv screen says Oculus Quest 2 at the top left corner, No Content in the middle of the screen, and an Options in the bottom right. I click on Options and it only says Refresh, but when I click Refresh nothing changes. The tv screen still says No Content.
Can the Oculus Quest 2 not be connected to a tv ? Or if it can, what am I doing wrong ? Do I need a HDMI to a USB-C ? Please let me know at your earliest convenience, thanks.
The link cable is meant to be connected to a PC, not a TV. I doubt that your TV will be able to do anything more than recognize the oculus.
The link is not a cable to stream your oculus on a screen, it is meant to allow your oculus to draw from the processing power of your PC in order to acces games that were meant for the oculus rift.
Ahhh, so if I plug it into my computer, I still couldn't see anything on the computer monitor, right ? Well that kinda sucks but it doesn't make the Quest 2 any less awesome. I got the 256GB version so it was a little spendy but very worth it. I was just hoping for some way to let other people see what I'm seeing.
Quick question since you brought up the Rift. If I buy Minecraft for the Rift on my computer and connect my Quest 2 to my computer, can I play Minecraft on my Quest 2 ?
Sorry for the questions but I'm not that technically adept. Thanks for any help in advance.
That said if you want to project what you see in the ques on to the tv, you need a chrome cast and you can cast your gameplay on tv for others to watch.
Is there a way to connect my quest 2 to my tv with a differnet cable in order to show what the headset is showing? My Wi-Fi is slow and I don't have chromecast
