Audio popping/crackling on my rift s

so for some reason i have no idea the sound for my headsets been playing up, it sounds all bitty and scratchy has anyone had this before? im worried that my speakers for it might have broken, the sound in games is scratchy and has bittyness towards sfx

What games are they, and have you tried changing the settings in options or in windows mixer ?

just vr chat fella, and why would that matter, as was fine before as now its started to play up

I was thinking if you had some of the sound enhancements on, it could cause distortions with some music thats all.  Mine does it a bit with loud base sounds, but thats because I have boosted the audio.

I had similar issues but only with microphone. I reconnected usb and it helped.
