No audio in Elite Dangerous

Hi I've just got the Rift S and it works perfectly with Steam and Oculus games except for Elite Dangerous.
ED is installed from Frontier "not steam" and I've been playing it for years without issue.
Now when I play it in VR it works perfectly except no audio.
I've checked settings in both W10 and Elite and I think everything is as it should be.
Any ideas please?

Did you make sure to change the windows sound output to the rift? Otherwise it'll be outputting to the default device which wont be the rift. You can easily change it by left clicking the volume icon in the tasktray and then using the drop down list above the volume slider.

Elite: Dangerous native in Oculus normally 'forgets' to change device to the HMD for sound, in steamVR ensure that it is set to switch to HMD audio/mic and return to default (speakers in my case) when steamVR exits.

Native Oculus, as suggested above, prior to playing ED switch your audio to HMD - then revert as needed wnen finished.
