Rift S headphone sound. Is this normal

Loving the visuals!

Sound though: it's pretty bad right?

As in quiet?  Tinny? It is 3D (so it must be positioned correctly) but it doesnt 'feel' on my ears?

I wonder if I my firmware didn't update properly cus wasnt there an update that improved the sound? Made it bassier?  How does one know firmware version?

Thanks!

From device manager , go into you sound settings.
Click on the Rift S , then select properties I believe.
Within there you should see some enhancements like bass boost and loudness equalization , try enabling and see if that helps any.

I did not care much for the sound out of the audio strap, so I get a set of earbuds to use with mine, plugged into the Rift S audio jack. Sound is great for me there.

These setting appear to make th best of the Rift S sound - the last update also reset them...
