Hi,
You can download the Oculus app. It tells you if you PC is compatible. If it works you should be good to go.

But if your PC isn't up to the job you won't have a very good experience. You'll get drops in framerate (very bad in VR), lagging and crashes.

I would recommend getting an Oculus Quest for the same price. It works with and without the PC (does the job of a Rift S and does standalone), and if you can't run it on your PC you can still enjoy an awesome VR experience until you upgrade your rig.

The Quest works great as a PC VR headset, but only needs one USB C cable to work. It even uses the exact same touch controllers as the Rift S. And many of the Quest/ Rift games are cross-buy, so if you buy them for either you get them for Quest and Rift.
