Right now the Share submission process requires a Category and some Genres for any submitted application. However, they're pretty limited.

This really doesn't have any accommodation for tools like my Shadertoy VR app, which is essentially a development tool. I can think of a number of applications out there that don't really count as either a game or experience, but don't fall into the other categories either.
Social apps like VR Chat or RiftMax
Visual music construction apps
Architectural visualization programs (these might count as experience, but they could also easily include editing functionality)
Even Steam has a section for non-game software. Could we get an expanded set of genres, and maybe a top level category like 'Application'?

'Experience' generally conveys something that is non-interactive or minimally interactive.
Granted, all games are applications, but not all applications are games. I don't think if 'Application' was added in addition to game that anyone would be confused as to the meaning, and it would enable people searching Share to filter more effectively.
