Finding Monsters Adventure on Gear VR is a fantastic photo challenge that continues the magical universe of Jake & Tess on mobile as they dare each other to take pictures of the funny, cute & mischievous monsters in this immersive experience.

It looks great but sadly the performance on my Note 4 with Android 5.1.1 wasn't that great. I see a lot of screen tearing when moving my head, especially in the lobby/childrens room.

Thanks for the feedback, Homer. We know we have some specific issues with Note 4, mainly with the Snapdragon GPU, and the performance is not what we expected. We decided to make the game available for Note 4, since the game is free for now, and because we wanted everyone to experiment a bit of the game. In the end, it made sense for us to do so.

We are still working in a future update and any news we will tell you for sure.

Yep plays very smooth on the S6, and it's quite polished! The environments are beautiful, and I appreciate that the game lets us take our sweet time to settle in before starting the actual gameplay.

It's clearly aimed at anyone that likes cute things, not necessarily kids. The appeal to someone older like me is to figure out how to expose each of the goal "moments" in order to take a picture of them. Even then, it's a game of timing and practice since each scene is deterministic, as far as I can tell. The gameplay definitely tickles the collector/completionist gamer in me, and I managed to hit all the goals for the first area and am working on the next few areas as I pop in for a quick game here and there.

Unlocking the stuffed animals is interesting and I'm still curious what you can actually do with them aside from throwing them around.

Many thanks for a great game, and I wish you luck with dealing with the Snapdragon Note 4! Surprised to hear that 5.1.1 didn't fix the performance problems for HomerS66. 😞

The plushes in the kid's room are just to throw around, it was a mini game our lead engineer made with the time we had ^^
