Hey folks,

Just want to announce upcoming software that Machine Elf Software has been working on.

Integrated Design Viewer (IDV): With one click designs from AutoCAD and Revit are piped to VR headsets (like the Oculus Rift) for a fully immersive experience in design plans.

Take a look at our video on how this works:

Looks pretty sweet. A question though:

How hard would it be for you guys to migrate the code over to 3dsMax and Maya?

Thanks so much for checking out our video. We are building this software into being the
'Adobe reader' or 'QuickTime' of this world if you will.

By years end we plan on
Porting to those programs. Right now we are getting our UI 100% for these two programs
And then finish up our solidworks and flexsim integrations as well as the stand alone viewer
So folks can view these standard file types in a standalone way without the need for the
Base programs.

Thanks for checking it out MES

Hello,

I wanted to reintroduce Machine Elf Software to the Oculus community. I know we met some of you at the Connect Summit this fall.

We have created a virtual reality software platform for instantly creating VR experiences and simulations.
Using this platform we have created our first piece of software.
We call it the Universal File viewer.

Simply drag and drop over 20 different BIM files onto our icon and instantly explore them in the Oculus Rift.

We support the below file types at or close to 100% with all material files and textures.

• Tremble SketchUp via Collada Importing (.DAE) • AutoDESK Filmbox and Revit (.FBX) • AutoDESK AutoCAD (.DXF) • Blender (.Blend) • Wavefront Object (.OBJ) • Industry Foundation Classes (.IFC) • Stanford Polygon Library (.PLY) • 3DS Max (.3DS)

and many others load automatically for you to explore with full physics.

Google Sketch up, and support for 360 images and movies will be release a bit later this week in an update.

We update the software generally once a week with new features and upgrades.

Later this month we are release our integration piece for MS Office.

Virtual Reality can then be used within power point business demo's and creating 3-D contracts is simple.

In the late spring we will release our Integrated design solution for AutoCad, Revit, 3DSMAX, Maya, Blender and Sketch up.

This will allow you to co design with clients and have them experience design changes on the fly(think Inception), pre-visualizing everything before it has been built.

All while using the standard design tools they already designers have already mastered.

Please support our little piece of software, its only the start of what we have to offer.

Hi, I am very interested in your software but the link isn't working. Do you still exist?

The endless Oculus "updates" and "fixes" have broken this software.
It was not economical to keep devs working on the endless coding required to stay in touch..
Pity.
The only true VR modelling experience is still the Oculus "Medium".
Very last century- ish but it gives you a good idea of what VR modelling is.
But no animation and  not friendly to mesh object imports or modelling and very resource hungry.
But it does work..
