Creators Update broke Oculus software

Last week I week I updated to the Win10 Creators Update (for Paint 3D of course  :p). But now my Rift won't connect properly with the Oculus software. I tried reinstalling my NVIDIA drivers, but nothing changed. Here's what I think is relevant to the problem according to the Oculus software logs:

I heard other people were luckier with the update, but why does this happen to me...?
Anyways, please help me out here.

I would try re-installing DirectX. Maybe see if running Oculus as Administrator helps, or maybe uninstalling and reinstalling Oculus as administrator. If none of that works maybe its fresh Windows install time. I did a fresh install of Windows after the creators update, in an attempt to fix my Realtek audio issues. Didn't help, but my Oculus works ok.

Make sure to disable Game Mode.

where does GameMode interfere with? I have it on but besides the "usual quirks" don't seem to have a problem with it.

Some people have reported choppiness with Game Mode in VR. I haven't tried it.

I don't think it's possible to do a clean install of DirectX 11. Also I followed your advice on reinstalling Oculus and it didn't really help much. However, in the first time configuration when I plugged in the headset to the HDMI, it did turn on however I got only lines and a notable green bar (it's my windows color but probally just a coincidence) in the right eye. However when I skipped the setup (because I only have one HDMI OUT by the way) I got the same stuff I did before the reinstall. So I'm still lost. Also I don't feel like going through the trouble of reinstalling Windows right now

I don't know how accurate this thread is, but you could at least run the system file check
SFC /SCANNOW

I ran it, but it didn't find anything wrong.

This issue stopped me from using my Oculus and brand new PC 5 months ago. I am a massive hatter now for all things Facebook, and the oculus tops my list. Sad too, because I'm just not as computer savvy as many of you are. I just get this damn BSOD overtime I try to use the rift. POS!
