HDMI not reading

So I have had my vr system for a month now and it's been working fine. Yesterday mid game the hdmi wouldn't read. I've tried unplugging to check and the cord is fine. I've uninstalled the software and redownloaded it to see if that was the issue but still it wont read. If someone could give me some advice that would be helpful

When you say you unplugged it to check the cable, did you unplug both ends?
A lot of people don't realise the cable can be unplugged on the headset end too, the connector is hidden under the padding frame. It can come lose if the cable is pulled accidentally during use.
