So I recently started using a link cable but since I don't have any USB-C ports on my motherboard I had to buy an expansion card for it. The first one I got was from Microcenter, but since it was USB 3.0 only I wanted to find something else. The next one I found on Amazon was USB 3.1 Gen 2 extension card, but the speeds still read the same when I do a test. Is there something else I need to do?
Card I found on Amazon: PCI-E PCI Express 4X to USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) 2-Port Type C Expansion Card Asmedia Chipset for Windows 7 /8/8.1/10/Linux Kernel (2XType C)
(Can't put the direct link in there)
The card is installed in a PCIe 4.0 lane.
I am using the official link cable.
If there is a way to also prevent my Quest 2 from discharging from use it would be much appreciated, though I know that isn't always remediable.
