My oculus rift is stuck on a screen with three loading dots

I recently was playing with my rift and everything was working perfectly fine. When all of a sudden when put my headset back on after not playing for awhile three dots just popped up and now I can't get rid of them.

Hey there, BeefMaster! We're sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Rift device, we know issues like this interrupt our play time and prevent us from connecting with friends in VR. Lets get this solved for you as soon as possible! Bellow are some basic troubleshooting steps-

  • Disconnect and reconnect your rift device 
  • Try connecting the rift cable into a different port on your PC (USB 3.0) 
  • Delete and reinstall the Oculus application off your PC
  • Ensure all drivers are up to date and installed correctly 
  • If you are on Windows 10 try turning on the camera settings as this may be causing the issue 
  • Join the PTC as this rolls out the newest software updates
