Oculus Hardware Error

MCG_ITEAM

Hello:

Today, suddenly, the Oculus Rift's tool welcomes me with the following message. "Oculus Hardware Error --- Oculus has detected a hardware issue that is preventing you from setting up your Rift. Please check that your headset is connected and all cable ends are firmly seated. If you're still having trouble, you can also select Try Again to repeat the setup process. If this issue continues, please visit Oculus Support to get help" Today, before this message the HMD was able to work correctly, once.

After this message I have tried: reinstalling Oculus, restarting the computer, reinstalling drivers, changing the devices from USB ports, managing Windows 10 USB power features, resetting setup files of Oculus, stoping Oculus services.
..

This issue continues, and so I am now visiting Oculus Support to get help.

Any help will be very much appreciated...

They mean that you should contact support on the website, not the forums.
You need to go here.........

Still, someone here may also be able to help you.

Did you check your cables? Re-seat the cable going into the headset, as well as your cables going into your computer. Make sure that it's all plugged in properly.

Hi Chris,

I know this not the answer you want to hear, but we do not have repair options available at this time.

Additionally, since our product is not for resale, outside of our authorized partners, warranty coverage is not transferable. This means, even if the unit was in a region we ship to, we would not be able to offer product replacement. Click here for more information on the Oculus Limited Consumer Warranty.

Regards,

Hello Chris,

I've reviewed your logs and suspect there may be an issue with the hardware.

Since Argentina is not a country we are able to ship to, we urge you to reach out to the retailer that you purchased it from for further assistance.

Thanks for your understanding,

Lachlan

Ebay is a risk.

Look on ifixit for a teardown.
