Sensor possibly broken.

Hi Oculus Forums

I am relatively new here and have owned an oculus for 2 years now. I have always had 2 sensors, touch controls and the VR headset.

Of late one of the sensors no longer even registers as connected. Whenever I plug in the other sensor, Windows automatically picked it up. However with this sensor it does not.

I have tried every single other USB 3.0 and 2.0 port on my computer. Unplugged the other sensor and replugged the possibly broken one with the same results. It has not received any physical damage as far as I am aware of.

I have reinstalled the Oculus Drivers and the entire Oculus suites of software. No fix.

I have reinstalled windows cleanly. No fix.

It used to work just fine, but alas no more.

Any ideas? Or do I really need to fork out some extra money and get a new one. During the 2 year period I have become a university student so, buying a sensor would be a rather difficult thing for me to do at this point.

Thanks guys!

Raise a support ticket.  You'll be out of warranty, but they might be able to help.  I'd plan for buying a new one though, just in case.
