Stuttery game play due to oculus program

 In Arizona sunshine, I get stuttering gameplay because the oculus program uses 30% of my CPU putting it at 100% and bottlenecking me. If I close it the game gets really smooth but it does not display to the headset. Is there a way in which I can get this to work?

The first time I ran Arizona Sunshine the was very slow in the menu trailer place. I think it was because Viveport, Oculus AND Steam VR were open. I went back out and closed it all down and just opened up Steam VR to launch the game. This then launched Oculus but didn't open Viveport. The ran well.
