Will preventing Sleep Mode (in 3-4 hours Sessions) harm the Rift S?

Will preventing Sleep Mode (in 3-4 hours Sessions) harm the Rift S?

I want to stream in VR and need to read the chat. I'm using Oculus Dash right now. When I pin a single Window from Virtual Desktops every time I take off the headset the Window crashes (orange background with !). I need to restart Oculus every time this happens. I couldn't find any fix yet.
Now I thought about covering the light sensor with some tape/foam to keep the VR from turning into sleep in hope this won't crash my Oculus Dash.

Best regards.

unlikely. It goes to sleep on its own, when not on your head. Controllers go to sleep if not used for a few minutes.
