About a couple of weeks ago I started getting really bad stutter when
using Link with Quest (1 gen). The stutter is most noticeable with the
sound, but visually as well. By stutter I mean that for example the
sound rapidly cuts in and out and the gra...
I recently bought the official link cable but my computer didn't have a
USB-C port. So I also got a PCIe card to add a USB-C port to my PC. The
card has an ASMedia chipset, so of course I figured that I should
install a driver provided by ASMedia. Bu...
Just wanted to share my experience - as a new Quest owner - with Virtual
Desktop and the aforementioned title. I got HL: Alyx a few days ago and
tried it first with Link, using a USB 2.0 cable. I know it's not ideal,
and I did see artifacts and bandi...
After hearing that Oculus Link now supports USB 2 cables, I decided to
make the switch from my Rift CV1. I've tried Link with a cheapo USB-C to
USB-A cable + active USB 2 extender and for the most part it works,

Hi there. I've had the Quest for only a couple of weeks but I've been

two years until now. Before getting into the Quest specifics, you
mentioned that you don't have a lot of space....
For the time being I will make do with my USB 2 cable and Virtual
Desktop, though it would be interesting to see what the experience is

full precision is required (with rhythm g...
Once I get my official Oculus Link cable in this week I will try to do a
write up on my experiences. I will try to objectively compare the
differences in picture quality and latency with the 4-5 different cables
(USB 2 and USB3 C and A) I currently h...
