I wish you the best of luck. I bought an asus g752vy with a gtx 980m and
it was a no go. CV1 screen wouldn't power up but everything else worked
fine. Returned it for an MSI laptop with gtx 980. Works great now¡
I did mine with a dremel and a hot glue gun but I do need to back the
adjustment off as you mentioned and still want a more elegant solution.
