I've mentioned this before. But I first became interested in VR back in
the late 80's and early 90's. The PBS program Newton's Apple did a
segment on the Dactyl VR arcade machine, and it got mentioned once or
twice on the news as well. And that caugh...
Sorry about this rant. I just need to vent. Was setting up and testing
my Steam VR tracking lighthouses to see if they would allow me to use my
Quest 2 without having to turn on all the lights. I think it will work,
but wasn't entirely sure anymore. ...
While trying to verify something to help another person, I noticed that
the security logs for my Oculus account claim I'm currently logged in
from a computer in Cedar Mill, OR, United States. The problem is that
I've never been there. This was the on...
Been messing with some old Hot Wheels track and cars I have from a few
years back when I was babysitting some anti-video game kids. This then
got me to sign into Forza Horizon 3 and race in the Hot Wheels DLC (as

So, I've had a fair amount of experience using Virtual Desktop to play
untethered PCVR games, or at least they did as of last November. Some

I brought up the possibility of needing an update since that can be an
issue. Version updates are not released to everyone at the same time,
but in waves. Good news is that this lets Oculus find and (hopefully)
iron out problems before they become wi...
This might sound stupid, but you might want to check that Air Link is
disabled in your headset. If that's not the issue, try checking to see
if there's an update for your Quest. I think they released a version
update recently, so the issue might be t...
Probably not the solution you're looking for. But I just plug into an
outlet. Battery will still drain during apps that are active. But it
drains slower. But if I take a break to relax while doing something like
watching Doctor Who, browsing the web,...
So long as there's full body tracking and the physical arena's size and
layout is correctly modeled in-game, it should be fine. I think the
advantage the quest and Quest 2 have for arena VR experiences is the
fact they can handle larger room scale se...
