Sorry about this rant. I just need to vent. Was setting up and testing
my Steam VR tracking lighthouses to see if they would allow me to use my
Quest 2 without having to turn on all the lights. I think it will work,
but wasn't entirely sure anymore. ...
While trying to verify something to help another person, I noticed that
the security logs for my Oculus account claim I'm currently logged in
from a computer in Cedar Mill, OR, United States. The problem is that
I've never been there. This was the on...
Been messing with some old Hot Wheels track and cars I have from a few
years back when I was babysitting some anti-video game kids. This then
got me to sign into Forza Horizon 3 and race in the Hot Wheels DLC (as
well as just zipping around the islan...
So, I've had a fair amount of experience using Virtual Desktop to play
untethered PCVR games, or at least they did as of last November. Some
require me to reset the view when I first start up via Virtual Desktop,
others work just fine out of the box....
Now that I'm well rested and no longer cranky, time to put my new Quest
2 through it's paces. I'd left it plugged in and turned on overnight in
order to install all my Quest apps, so everything was ready to go
immediately. All the setup had already b...
With both Lighthouse 1.0 trackers set up in opposite corners of the
room, I recall it worked pretty well for Quest 1. Granted, I tried it at
the time because I am not a fan of the vive wand controllers, and my
Vive Cosmos's lenses have really visible...
Oh, not wanting to use the lighthouses for tracking. I was thinking of
using them for illumination, so I don't have to have 3 lamps and/or
overhead lights on regardless of time of day. I remembered it working
fine with the Quest 1, but wasn't entirel...
There you go with your graphics snobbery again. Polygon count does
not in any way indicate if a game is good or not. Neither does a game
having dynamic shadows or not. Ryse: Son of Rome is a game that looks
very good. Graphically, it's stunning as ...
Hell, I think it was a bad move. I had long avoided Facebook after my
initial obsessive playing of Facebook "games". And yet, I did recover
and link my FB account. I did so because I wanted to use the new Venues
app. The fact doing so lets me use the...
The 5 digit code during set up should be getting generated during the
setup, if it's needed. I know that with android phones or tablets there
doesn't seem to be a need for a code. Or maybe that's because I've set
up the headset before. IDK
