The battery only lasts for 60-50 minutes then it says the low battery message on Air Link. Is this normal??
Edit: I also play on 72hz mode, and it still drains

Hello @bentoemanuel,

We would be happy to help you to maximize your battery life so you can extend your PCVR gaming sessions!

In answer to your question, Air Link does use more power in order to maintain a wireless connection between your Quest 2 and your computer. Fortunately, we have a couple of options (listed below) to help you stay Linked and online longer:

Link Cable

Using this 16 foot specially-designed fiber-optic cable to connect your Quest 2 and PC will not only maximize your performance, but it will also help extend the battery life by eliminating the need to maintain a connection wirelessly.

Meta Quest 2 Elite Strap with Battery

Adding this to setup to your Meta Quest arsenal will not only increase comfort and performance, but it can also help you double your playtime both in standalone mode and via pc.

Happy gaming!

I noticed Link/Air Link will give a low battery warning at 25% where as the standalone headset will give a warning from 12 to 17%. Depending on you headset and what apps/games you are playing that could mean as much as 20-25 minutes. However support recommends for best battery life to avoid going below 20%.

About one minute per one percent of charge is about what I usually get.

With Air Link the best solution is to use an external battery pack imho.  Lots of different options on how to do this.  Just do a little google research.

i9 13900K water cooled, RTX4090, Z790 MB w/wifi6e, 32Gb 6400 ram, 2x2TB SSD, 1000W PSU, Win 11, QPro, Q3, w/Link and Air Link, Vive Pro1 with Etsy lens mod and Index Controllers
