I bought a game on the Oculus App on my pc, since it'd be easier. Is it supposed to be able to download on my quest 2 itself, or am I just going to have to air-link it?

It's your favorite support team coming in with all answers you need! Hmm, purchase questions huh? Oh we absolutely got this! Whenever making purchases, two things will always come into play. Whether the purchase was made on mobile/headset or through the PC. When purchasing via the mobile app, the app will be able to be played Standalone without needing wires all hooked up. However if an app/game is purchased via the PC app, you will need to be either connected via Air Link or Link Cable.

 

But wait, there's more! An important note to always keep in mind. If purchasing something via the PC always be aware of if it it meant for the Rift or for the Quest. Not worry there, friend! If something has been bought for Rift be accident when you have a Quest or vice versa, you can always smash that good old refund button! Refunds can take around 3-7 days to process, but once you got your doll hairs (dollars) back you can get move on ahead and get you the right copy of the app!

 

Oh and don't you go and forgetting about us!
