How to reboot my quest?

Hi, my quest is bugged. All I can see is a black backround with my hands on the screen. On my cell it says it can't find my headset, therefore I can't reboot the headset or anything! What to do with no reset or manifacture restore?

@Patpiche Heyo, that's quite the hassle there. 


For rebooting your headset, you have a couple options to test out:


  • Hold the power button for roughly 30-40 seconds
  • Boot menu:
    1. Turn your headset off.
    2. Hold the Power and Volume Down (-) buttons together until the boot menu loads. 
    3. Use the Volume Buttons to highlight Boot Device and press the Power Button
  • Factory reset:
    • Same steps as Boot menu but select the Factory reset option.


As for factory resetting, this will delete all games and content from within the headset. The purchases will stay linked to your account. You'd just need to login and re-download them.
