my oculus app wont pair with my headset after reinstalling on my phone for my qeust 2

so i uninstalled the oculus app on my and reinstalled it on my phone and now no matter what i do when i try to pair it the five digit paring code doesent come up but i paird it with bluetooth but it doesnt go threw the app

Hey there, themanonvr! We understand the importance of having your phone paired to your headset, the mobile app gives you access to some really useful and great features that we wouldn't want you to miss out on! The 5 digit pairing code only shows up in your headset when completing the beginning set up process on your device. Since your mobile app is asking for the 5-digit pairing code, you will have to perform a factory reset in order to get the 5 digit pairing code to show up in your headset again.


Before completing the factory reset on your device, we recommend turning on our Cloud Backup feature to save any game data from being erased during the factory reset! More information about our Cloud Backup feature can be found here:! The steps for completing a factory reset from your headset can be found bulleted below:

  • Turn off your headset.
  • Hold the power and volume down (-) button on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
  • Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Factory Reset and press the power button.
  • Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.

Once the factory reset is complete, you will have to complete the setup process one more time, and in the setup process you'll find the 5-digit pairing code for you to enter on your mobile app!
