Alright, thank you for that confirmation. Th next couple things we could recommend are as follows:

  • Check your GPU for updates.
  • Check Windows 10/11 for updates
    • Note: Windows 11 support is still in beta and could have some potential issues.
  • Try running Oculus Home as Administrator.
  • If there is any antivirus software, try checking the settings for options to whitelist Oculus as a trusted program.

Let us know how these work out for you!

Hey there, midnight_ultra! We noticed you having some Oculus Home installation issues which can be very frustrating.  We'd be more than glad to help!

To gain some insight, could you please answer the following:

  • How much storage space is currently available in your C: drive?
  • When did you first notice this?
  • Did anything change around this time? (Headset, Pc updates, etc.)
  • What are your current PC specs? (GPU type and version, CPU, RAM)

Along with this, we do suggest trying a clean wipe of Oculus Home with the following steps:

  1. Disconnect your computer from the internet.
  2. Backup any necessary content.
  3. Reboot into Safe Mode.
  4. Uninstall Oculus Home using the Control Panel.
  5. Delete all Oculus folders from the following folder:
    • C:\Program Files
  6. Remove any Oculus folders from the following locations:
    • C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData
    • C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData\Local
    • C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData\LocalLow
    • C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData\Roaming
    • C:\OculusSetup-DownloadCache
  7. Restart your computer in normal mode.
  8. Reconnect your computer to the internet.
  9. Install Oculus Home again using the setup tool from our website here.

If that doesn't seem to help, feel free to reach back out for other possibilities!

37.6G of storage in C drive
Started around march of this year.

Can't remember any changes around that time or recently.

Computer has an Intel Core i7 9700F, 16G DDR4 ram running in dual channel mode, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super.

Seems that it was a problem with GeForce graphics driver and GeForce Experience not updating correctly. This has been fixed
