Change in sales tax of games? (specifically Maryland)

Raizingsun

I live in Maryland and as far as I know my state does not charge sales tax on online software downloads. In fact, I purchased The Climb 2 on March 4th and there was no sales tax charged (just checked my receipt to be sure). I also bought a switch game from the nintendo eshop last week and was not charged sales tax. I was about to get Gravity Lab because it is on sale and was surprised to see the Oculus store was adding sales tax to the price. Did something change within this month? If anyone has any information about this I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Maryland expanded its 6% sales tax to digital goods on March 14.
